11/5/09 @ 12pm: 3 Ways To Help From Home! (TYT/CNN Update)

Because of the short notice I know a lot of you can't make it to any of the 3 TYT/Public Option CNN Demonstrations Thursday 11/5/09 at 12pm EST(ATL/NY)/12pm PST(L.A. with Cenk and the rest of TYT). But that doesn't mean you can't participate. Here are 3 things you can do to help TYT fight for a strong public option and accurate reporting on it:

1. Email. Send an email to [e-mail] at 12 Noon Eastern/9am PST with a concise message: We want the public option! Look at the polls! Tell your audience what the American people want.

2. Tweet. Send a tweet to @cnnbrk at 12 Noon Eastern/9am PST on Thursday 11/5/09 saying:

@cnnbrk We want the public option! Look at the polls! Tell your audience what the American people want. #cnnprotest

You can also send a Tweet to Rick Sanchez at 12 Noon Pacific/3pm EST on Thursday 11/5/09 saying:

@ricksanchezcnn We want the public option! Look at the polls! Tell your audience what the American people want. #cnnprotest

3. Call. Say something like "We want the public option! Look at the polls! Tell your audience what the American people want."

CNN NY- [phone] (@12pm EST/9am PST)
CNN ATL- [phone] (@12pm EST/9am PST)
CNN LA- [phone] (@12pm PST/3pm EST)

NOTE: If your schedule doesn't allow you to call/email/tweet exactly at 12pm EST or 12pm PST, that's fine. Just do it as close to those times as possible.

PS---Remember to be polite, respectful and brief in all of your interactions. If you have any questions (like how to use Twitter) or suggestions, please post them here. And feel free to post/send a link to this blog out. Also, if you plan on recording the event in NY or ATL, please email [e-mail] ASAP and put 'Video Of NY Event' or 'Video of ATL Event' in the subject line as we might use your footage on the show!

32. I just tweeted and called CNN LA. I said I'd like them to bring a camera downstairs to cover

the event outside their building in favor of the public option.

He said they're "considering it". I said that CNN claims to be down the middle so I'd hope they wouldn't ONLY cover the teabaggers in DC and ignore the majority of Americans according to a CNN poll in October (61% support for a public option).
