Since we know full well the media is making this a referendum on him, what are we looking at here?

If NY-23 and NJ go Democratic and we lose Virginia, is that a Republican loss?

Or will the media still spin it as anti-Obama?

We know full well if it's anything less, they'll be saying it's proof Obama has zero national clout.

I'm just wondering where we stand here.

1. I think the media will spin it negatively for Obama no matter what.

But I think we may go 0 for 3 tonight, or actually 1 for 4 since no one mentions the CA special election. If we actually do win NJ and Corzine pulls it out we will be 2 for 4 and totally even with Rethugs.

I hate thinking that. But I don't have faith right now in Corzine and since what's her face pulled out in New York, I expect all the Republican votes to go to that Hoffman douche.

At least we will most likely win one contest but it is too small a sample to mean much and Corzine has not been the greatest governor. It all depends on turnout. Low turnout is good for Christie.

Corporate media is geared up for an 'event' tonight and with ratings in mind, they'll create a referendum where there isn't one.

All three of these races are reflective on local politics and really have nothing to do with Obama or what will happen in 2010. But don't expect this rationality to come from the media.

11. I was reading articles from 2001 about that race and the impact on Bush.

Republicans lost in Virginia and struggled in other states (NJ).

Yet the articles suggested it was because the issues were local and not national. Bush wasn't a factor in their mind.

Yet it's all about Obama now.
