Um... excuse me, but how is Carrie Prejean a "slut" a "tramp" or a "whore"?

But... I'm not clear on the reason for the insults quoted in my subject line. By that I mean, I don't know that she's slept with tons of guys... or charged for sex. I suppose "tramp" might apply... for those who think that a woman who poses for nude pics or makes sexy videos is a tramp.

In a glamour shoot like that, the photographer is probably snapping a frame every 2 or 3 seconds, and she's supposed to keep eye contact with the camera, not her nipples. She was probably assured that any slips would be deleted. If she was smart, she would have put it in the release, but even then, that might not stop the guy from releasing them. The photographer might not have even realized it until he got back to his computer and went through the hundreds of frames. If she'd done it deliberately, there would have been dozens of frames where they were fully exposed, not 3 frames of partial exposure due to a slip.

She wasn't topless... her nipple was partially exposed while she was clearly attempting to keep it barely covered with an open vest. It's a beach, there's wind and water, and this stuff happens. It happens every year on the red carpet at the Oscars, but that doesn't mean that whatever actress is involved "posed topless" -- it's simply a wardrobe malfunction.

No, it's not a Hillary Clinton pantsuit, but she was doing a glamour shoot, and that's a typical wardrobe for something like Maxim or whatever. I don't fault her for doing the shoot, and I believe that the slips were unintentional and that she may not have been aware they even happened during the course of the shoot, or had been assured they would not be released.

You can take issue with her for a lot of other reasons, but I'll defend her on this one.

Now, this solo video action, again it sounds like she put her trust in the wrong person, and this should disqualify her from certain "holier than thou" statements. But I don't think it should make someone a social outcast. I'd love to see consensual nudity and/or sex decriminalized in my lifetime.

because the sun was behind her and the shots don't have her in shadow. And if the wind was strong enough to blow her vest around, why not her hair, too--or did the photog do a LOT of retouching? The bottom line is, she knew the photos existed (even if she was blackmailing the photogs by claiming she was under age), and she HAD to know that the pageant rules said that having done nude/semi-nudge photography disqualifies any contestant. So she shouldn't have entered the pageant in the first place.

Granted, she was not in a monsoon, but several of the shots on TMZ have hair blowing in her face, and in #1 of the linked set, she's actually clearing the hair out of her face when the photographer snapped one. She's also moving around and trying to get in poses where the vest ALMOST reveals, but doesn't actually, so it's natural that she might have slipped up a time or two. She could have easily said "Hey my nipple was showing in that one, delete it!"

Again, to my mind is what this boils down to is that she did not intend for her nipples to be showing in these images, she trusted the photographer not to take images where they were showing, and trusted him to delete any where they were accidentally showing. It may have even been in her contract, and this guy found it would be more lucrative to release the images and risk her suing to enforce the contract. The photographer may not even be the one who leaked them... it could have been an assistant or the lab or an employee of the publication or whomever.

She may not even have been aware of these frames until they showed up on TMZ -- paid models rarely are given the unedited shots to review. This isn't like the Vanessa Williams situation, where she was fully nude and engaging in erotic poses with another nude female model. It's not even Rose McGowan wearing a see-thru dress to the Oscars. It's not even Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction."

It's clearly an accident. To characterize it as "posing topless" is completely disingenuous. There are far worse things she's said that should be used to discredit her. (Not that I think posing nude should discredit anyone.)

Funny how on #11 they do an unnecessary censorship "star" (notice how #12 is the same frame without the star, and you can't see anything... wonder if any of the others are like that?) Just ask Jimmy Kimmel how unnecessary censorship can make even Sesame Street seem filthy.
